105 Alta Avenue
Also listed as 103 Alta Avenue
Noteworthy: The Park Hill (1984) original-fourteen list identifies a demolished George J. Ord residence with what appears to be the correct house number but the wrong street. A Yonkers Statesman jury notice lists Ord at 103 Alta Avenue, and another Yonkers Statesman article places his house across the street from the adjacent Brown and Ashmead residences. The 1907 Yonkers atlas shows the Brown residence at 88 Alta Avenue and the Ashmead residence at 94 Alta Avenue directly across from 103 Alta Avenue, whose historic footprint falls mostly within present-day 105 Alta Avenue and partly within 99 Alta Avenue.
Park Hill (2002)
approx. p. 49
2 1/2-story brick house; symmetrical massing; central entrance; peak roof.
Park Hill West (1994)

Two-story, brick with aluminum siding residence; square plan; double hung sash windows; gable roof.
Yonkers Illustrated (1901)
approx. p. 118
The illustrated view shows a large two-story residence with a broad front porch, symmetrical facade, lawn, and young trees.
Noteworthy: The caption identifies Park Hill Avenue, but related newspaper and map evidence places the historic George J. Ord residence at 103 Alta Avenue, with its footprint mostly under present-day 105 Alta Avenue and partly under present-day 99 Alta Avenue.
Potential deed matches (1891, 1901)
There are research leads for this property. The website author has not yet fully verified these leads.
1891
Research note: This deed may connect the Ord property to a filed George J. Ord map and to the Alta Avenue/Undercliff Street setting reflected in the historic map evidence. If verified, it would help document the early location history of the demolished Ord residence now associated with present-day 105 Alta Avenue and part of 99 Alta Avenue.
Research note: This later Brownell-to-Ord record appears to involve the same historic block and plot. It may be useful for confirming whether the Ord-related paper trail continued beyond the earlier deed and map reference.
